Guided hike with National Park employee and botanist Dr. Christoph Heibl through old-growth forests and areas recently affected by bark beetles to the summit of the Falkenstein (1,315 m.a.s.l.) and the “Schachten” there – areas kept open by grazing that support unique biodiversity and, depending on the weather, offer views of the Alps

Guided Hike up the mountain Lusen (1,373 m.a.s.l.) from Waldhäuser (ca. 1,000 m.a.s.l.) (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HhPYf3sYW87dirzy5) with a National Park employee. Insights into glacial processes that formed the mountain top and the natural regeneration of the forest after the bark beetle disturbances of the 90s.
